Social Enterprise is about finding new ways for business to address old problems. It represents a viable business model that uses market forces to assist in creating employment and strengthening resilience in the community. Social Enterprise Marketing provides you with a comprehensive view of the field. It brings the mindset principles, strategies, tools and techniques of entrepreneurship into the social sector to present innovative solutions to today’s social issues. 

This subject covers the theoretical foundation of social entrepreneurships as well as a strong practical focus through case studies. Weekly lecture and tutorial topics in this subject include critically reviewing concepts, challenges of growing a social enterprise, frameworks for understanding, sourcing funds from a variety of stakeholders, understanding and reporting social impact, as well as collaboration and leadership.

AIIHE uses a variety of assessment tools to guide and assess each student’s achievement of their learning outcomes. In this subject there will be in–class activities intended to support you to engage in and reflect on your learning journey and understanding of the subject. You will also undertake assessment tasks related to your skills development, your effective engagement in group work and delivery of collaborative outcomes, including a written report and an oral presentation.
