Overview
Project Management provides an opportunity for students to learn about the project life cycle model and newer agile approaches and their application to real life business projects, and the key project planning techniques that take into consideration the time, cost and quality constraints of every project. Working collaboratively, students will prepare project plans that incorporate resource management, quality/risk and human resource management strategies and subsequently they will demonstrate skills in project management methods and planning software tools.

Learning Outcomes
- Critically analyse the project life cycle model and agile project management approaches to real life business projects, especially those involving information systems.
- Formulate and employ project planning techniques that incorporate the time, cost and quality constraints of a project.
- Justify that managing relationships between key stakeholders is fundamental for successful project outcomes.
- Formulate project plans that incorporate resource management, quality, and risk and human resource management strategies.
- Demonstrate skills in project management techniques, methods and software tools in IT Projects
Assessment
AIIHE uses a variety of assessment tools to guide and assess each student’s achievement of their learning outcomes. In this subject there will be in–class activities intended to support you to engage in and reflect on your learning journey and understanding of the subject. You will also undertake assessment tasks related to your skills development, your effective engagement in group work and delivery of collaborative outcomes, including a written report and an oral presentation.
Summary of Assessment
- Students must attempt all assessment tasks, and at least a mark of 50% in total, to pass this subject.
- Assessment in this subject is consistent with and informed by the AIIHE Assessment Policy and Procedure.
