Overview
Information Systems Management (INF204) provides an opportunity for students to assess the importance of IS Management to a business enterprise in terms of productivity, profitability and competitive advantage. The subject emphasises deployment of strategies for innovative IS applications and system acquisitions to support a competitive advantage such as customer relationship management and supply chain management. The critical role data, information and business intelligence plays in organizational success will be examined and several cyber security strategies will be outlined to counteract emerging threats. Risk and service management will be explored

Learning Outcomes
- Assess the importance of IS Management to a business enterprise in terms of productivity, profitability and competitive advantage.
- Understand and apply strategies for innovative IS applications to gain a competitive advantage
- Justify the critical role data, information and business intelligence plays in organizational success
- Critically analyse the issues involved in implementing risk management and service management
- Describe how firms can extend IS to customers via customer relationship management (CRM) and to suppliers via supply chain management (SCM).
Assessment
AIIHE uses a variety of assessment tools to guide and assess each student’s achievement of their learning outcomes. In this subject there will be in–class activities intended to support you to engage in and reflect on your learning journey and understanding of the subject. You will also undertake assessment tasks related to your skills development, your effective engagement in group work and delivery of collaborative outcomes, including a written report and an oral presentation.
Summary of Assessment
- Students must attempt all assessment tasks, and at least a mark of 50% in total, to pass this subject.
- Assessment in this subject is consistent with and informed by the AIIHE Assessment Policy and Procedure.
